iTIND

iTIND (Insertion of Temporarily Implantable Nitinol Device) involves insertion of a device to reshape the prostate and alleviate urinary symptoms from an enlarged prostate or high bladder neck. It is a minimally invasive tteatment inserted via the water pipe (urethra) under a brief general anaesthetic. The device is then removed under local anaesthetic 5-7 days later. Three struts of the device cause channels to form through the prostate, improving urine flow. Three years of published data shows significant improvement in urinary symptoms with minimal complications and no sexual dysfunction.
